It is a new hotel built in Karatu on a hill that oversees the Ngorongoro area including the forests and coffee farms.

Located 140km North West of Arusha outside a small town of Karatu, set between the northern highlands forest reserve of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the surrounding coffee farms. High View hotel is an ideal place to stay for a night or two en route to either Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro crater.

Being at a high elevation above the Karatu town and its surroundings, visitors are provided with a special multidirectional view to enjoy the combination of surrounding hills and local agricultural countryside.

Being located at the mid - point of the famous northern park's of Tanzania, the site becomes an ideal gate away for excursion trips to Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park and to Lake Eyasi area with the opportunity to visit the bushmen communities.

Other long trips to Tarangire, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater or Lake Natron area can also be arranged right from the hotel or with prior bookings from our main office.

Because of its conducive environment and comfort, some visitors may decide to remain at the hotel by day taking excursion walks to the coffee plantations, water falls or to the edge of the forest reserve watching different colorful birds that inhabit the area.

We also offer the opportunity for bikers to take a short adventure riding trips from the Highview Hotel to the outlying villages and Karatu town using. This will give a chance to the bikers to experience Tanzania rural life style. Here one can get an enjoy of a village atmosphere of tranquility, also to meet and talk to some of the natives which will be unforgettable and great moment.
